ESP32-WROOM-32 is a powerful, generic Wi-Fi+BT+BLE MCU module that targets a wide variety of applications, ranging from low-power sensor networks to the most demanding tasks, such as voice encoding, music streaming and MP3 decoding. At the core of this module is the SOC (System on a Chip) ESP32-D0WDQ6 chip
Powered and programmed by a USB C cable
I used the Arduino Integrated Development Environment to program this fantastic piece of equipment to create a local Wi-Fi network to which I connected my ancient Apple iPhone - the ESP sent a webpage to the iphone that allowed the remote switching of 2 i/o ports that turned an LED on/off, see the video I've uploaded.
Amazing!!
Took me about 30 minutes to get working at my first attempt of programming this little beast.
Lots of tutorials on YouTube I have included the one I used to set up the IDE and the ESP32 in the information section below.
